I am Dr. Brandon Schmidt, and I’m the dentist and owner of Parkview Dental here in Gilbert, Arizona. I’m from Gilbert and I chose to start my practice here because it’s a good town. There’s good people here. It’s a family culture. I’m married to Dr. Tara Mattingly. She’s also a dentist we met in dental school. She’s an amazing dentist. She’s a wonderful wife. She’s a great mother. We have an eight week old son named Talon. I’ve always been interested in athletics. I’ve always liked to compete. Cycling has ended up being an awesome avenue for me to really get out and push myself. It’s a good release for me. It gets out a lot of stress. After my first year of college, I needed a job and I just went from business to business, and a dentist happened to let me in his office and he hired me. Everyone loved this doctor. He was a guy that was really good at reducing people’s stress and anxiety, and that had a big role in me deciding to be a dentist. I’ve always been artistic. I’ve always liked building things and creating things with my hands, and then dentistry has a really good overlap with science, and I enjoy science. I enjoy understanding how things work, and so being able to do something artistic and scientific is really engaging to me. Dr. Schmidt super friendly. He’s got a good sense of humor, very knowledgeable. He brings it down to a patient’s level and not with dental jargon that just he and his assistant know. I like his style, how he treats patients, how he treats the staff, the dental assistants that Brandon has.

One of the advancements that we offer our patients in the office is a cone beam system. What that is, it’s a 3D scanner. And so when we’re doing treatments such as root canals or implants, anything that becomes a little bit more complex, we can take a 3D scan of our patient’s mouth and we can see all the intricacies of their anatomy. And so that really helps us to treat people safer, faster with more predictability, and it’s a more comfortable experience for our patients. After using Cone Beam to do these high-end procedures, I’m really convinced that it’s the standard of care. That’s the way that we need to do it for our patients to give them the best results possible. Something else that we have for our patients Here in the office, we have a digital ultrasonic cleaning machine. What it does is the ultrasonic just vibrates that stuff right off the teeth. All digital means that on a scale of zero to a hundred, we can refine and adjust exactly how soft or more aggressive a patient would like their cleaning to be. And so let’s say that John Smith comes in and he loves his cleaning on setting 43. We write that down in your chart, and we can reproduce it every time they come in.

I love doing complicated procedures that I’m qualified to do because I enjoy dentistry so much. I’ve taken a lot of extra training. Some things I love doing in dentistry are root canals, implants, oral surgery. Of course, we do fillings and crowns and just more traditional things here, but we also focus on some really advanced procedures. We think that the best thing for our patients is convenience, and I offer almost all services, dental surfaces here in our office because it’s better for our patients. Nobody wants to have to drive all the way across town just to finish a tooth that was started at the first dentist’s office. Why see two dentists when you can just see one?

Today, there are a lot of dental offices that are corporate owned. We’re a private dental office. We’re just one location and we’re run by me as the dentist. There’s no other interest. There’s no other influence here other than what I think is best for my patients. And the reason I like that is because there’s no one looking over our shoulder and we get to do what’s best for our patients, what we think is best for our patients, what our patients want. One of the benefits of private dentistry is that we get to build relationships with our patients that will last for a very long time. It’s all about relationships here. And when you get into a different dental environment with more turnover and with dissatisfied staff members, it’s hard to keep that continuity. And I think that patients deserve continuity when they come to their dentist. I think they deserve to see the same people over and over, and that’s what we want to offer is comfort and a personal experience.

Hi, my name is Mike Smith. I’m a patient of Dr. Sch Smith’s here at Parkview Dental in Gilbert, Arizona. I’ve known Brandon, Dr. Schmid for a long time. He was at a previous dental office that I went to, and once he moved from there to here, I figured I’d move with him. I liked his style, how he treats patients, how he treats his staff. Very personal person, easy to talk to, which is really good. It’s like having a doctor with good bedside manner, the technology around all brand new and up to date. You can definitely tell they spent their time and their resources to get good equipment. I had a crack that was a horizontal crack on the tooth, which is, I guess, really difficult to do. You got it fixed real fast, which is thankful for, because I definitely don’t want to have no missing tooth, a painless process, as painless as it could be. The dental assistants that Brandon has, every one of ’em has been super personable. So to be able to come in and be comfortable around the people that are working on you, I think is pretty important. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schmidt to my friends, my family, the way he treats his patients and the staff. It all comes together and kind of makes a really good dentistry office.

Hi, I’m Brian, patient of Dr. Schmidt here in Gilbert, Arizona. My experience with dentists has been somewhat limited because I’m quite fearful of dentists, and it was really nice to be able to find Dr. Schmidt and his staff that was willing to listen to me, understand my concerns and my fear that I had of going to the dentist. The staff were very diligent in the examination in identifying some areas that needed some work. Using the state of the art equipment and technology allowed them to really hone in on some areas that never been discovered before. From walking in the door to being greeted by his staff and being able to quickly get me in and provide the care that I needed without a lot of weight. I was in good hands because of the professionalism from everybody in the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Schmidt Keith can really assist people in a way that will address their dental needs.

Hi, my name’s Ashley. I am a patient here at Parkview Dental in beautiful Gilbert. I keep coming back because Dr. Schmidt is always very knowledgeable. I trust his treatment plan and I trust his integrity of work. I had some work done by another dentist in the area. I had a crown. It never felt like the connection was right. The tooth didn’t feel natural, and so I sought out Dr. Schmidt and he went and fixed it perfectly. Dr. Schmidt’s super friendly. It’s got a good sense of humor, always really clear in what’s going to happen, what the treatment plan is, why I need the treatment. He brings it down to a patient’s level and not with dental jargon that just he and his assistant know. Definitely recommend Dr. Schmidt to my friends and family because I’ve been so happy with my treatment.
